Hello,
I'm a long-time Seattle resident and I am looking for a way to get the support of an advocate or case worker who can identify and provide resources for the assistance I need, or provide referrals for the same.
I was without a home for about 5 years and somewhat recently was able to move into my own apartment. However, I've had a very difficult time on my own and have been dealing with confusing and frustrating mental-physical obstacles that I unfortunately have been unable to overcome on my own. Some of the more problematic issues I'm experiencing include an inability to leave my vehicle and apartment (this is something that can last for hours to days in length), as well as an inability to maintain regular communication with organizations/individuals that have resources to offer me. I similarly haven't been able to maintain contact with family or friends I used to talk to every day. I've tried, but I haven't been able to talk regularly enough with a counselor to coordinate an appointment for therapy.
I badly need medical care for follow-up to a few rather serious diagnoses I learned of when I gave birth to my son in 2019, as well as more recent and concerning symptoms that have arisen; and also very much need dental attention and care, but I haven't found the inner resolve to get those services for myself.
If there is any way your organization can work with me on getting some kind of help. Anxiety makes it nearly impossible for me to answer my phone. Text and email me are the best way to reach me. If someone could respond with information on any case worker/advocate resources available to me, and anything else your office deems as potentially helpful, please forward it to this email address. Thank you!
Tess
