Love is Selfish

I think at weddings they say that love is selfless and doesn't want. If that is true that is what they say, then I say I disagree. I think love might be the most selfish thing. You try and get away with saying you're being selfless, oh, look what I'm doing for this person that I love, all these things I do just for them with no expectation of anything in return! Well, dude. You're totally emotionally masturbating all over them when you do that ish. We do things when WE are in love because WE want to. Not because they want us to, okay? Because if the target of love loved me, but I didn't love them, I would not do what they wanted me to do. Not like this. But, because I love the target, and the target loves me, I can get away with saying, oh it is for them, look see they want it! It is so selfless for me to give this way. But I'm on to you. You're the most selfish of all! You give, ultimately, because YOU want to, not because they want you to.
