Haven Today: Haircut, Failed Ride + Rock Toss

He let me cut his hair today while he played outside in his sandbox in the direct sun. did the best I could while he moved hurriedly about.

packed a picnic in the backpack and went to park with 4 wheeler but I think the hill he started on intimidated him, he didn’t really ride after that even though he said he wanted to

said he would ride across the street by water on sidewalk so we went there

wanted to throw rocks in water so we went to secret trail but overgrown - weeds shot up in the last week Bc all the rain - and big fat wasp bumble bees flew in front of him - he was self-designated leader down path, and were attacking a random, unflowered sticker bush leaf with something that looked like a snail trail on it- first one bee then there were like 4 all landed on and crawling enthusiastically around the leaf

so we went to regular part where he used to go until the dead Canadian goose carcass was left there and feathers scattered everywhere but carcass gone and feathers gone and mowed grass or something so we went down to water and as hAven started to climb down to the rocks from the grass crows stopped cawing - I think they recognized us and had been calling at us after we re-emerged from the secret trail after bee encounter. I came to be next to him rocks had been moved around with no more beach ish like area with access to throwing rocks. He stood staring Out at water I sat down on ledge and took off backpack saw 2 dark feathers from goose in rocks and then next to that and closer to me there were Tiny teeth Still in perfect jaw formation and obvious paw claws also perfectly preserved from the Otherwise absolutely smashed flat carcass of a rat it was horrifying for me Haven saw it at the same time and asked what it was I said it was from an animal and got up and said come on let’s go somewhere else there arent any rocks here

he didn’t want to ride anymore so we came back to put 4 wheeler back castle was out but he wanted to go inside I made him stay outside and he agreed to play in water Took off his shirt is wearing swim shorts got water in his eyes we didn’t have towel he was wiping his face on my corderouy pants nonchalantIy was trying to get a drink from the nozzle water while I made faces at him and he laughed
