Haven's Dad Spills About His Issue with Purchasing Groceries for Haven

Max just admitted that he refuses to buy Haven food because he sees it as buying me food. I’ve been harassing him for a week, writing him notes, sending him texts, telling him in person: Haven doesn’t have any food here, please get him food to eat. And he refuses. Last night, he went to “the store” for “groceries” at 9:30 pm and didn’t come back until around 3:00 am. When he came in at 5:30 am, claiming he didn’t have a key to get in and knocking on the door where inside there was a huge huge ass spider chilling on the wood part that intersects the floor and the wall, he brought with him a pack of blueberries and a gallon of milk. And that’s it.

I rarely eat anything that I know Haven will want to eat, and if I do, i eat a minimal amount. The reason I do that is because I am Haven’s mother and I love him a lot, and I want him to eat as much of what he will eat as possible, and I don’t want to take away from that. If he will eat it, I don’t want to be taking it from him. He is much more important than me in every way, and most definitely diet-wise. Max is a fucking idiot.

Although, it may be just a delusional excuse that he is making to himself so he can justify his cheapness and his indifference to Haven’s need for healthy sustenance, and he just actually is too cheap and too much of a sociopathic piece of garbage to buy Haven enough food to eat for even a day.

Max eats almost all of his food outside the house. Tonight I mentioned he spends $60 or more on himself for food per day, and he didn’t argue. I told him directly in person that it is unfathomable to me how he can spend that much money on himself for food every single day and not provide Haven with a bare minimum of staple foods, despite the government money he receives to do so. Max responded with, well I haven’t been to a store today. I went across the street to get this. I reminded Max that he’s been outside of the house and around the town quite a bit today and could have gone anywhere on Haven’s behalf. I also reminded him that he visited *supposedly* a grocery store twice yesterday, but Haven bewilderingly still has no food here. Max responded with something like, am I buying food for him or would it be buying food for you?
